With 20 years of special education experience, my goal is to help families make sense of the often complex special education process. Beyond teachning and IEP management, my background includes extensive knowledge of IEP development, IDEA, Section 504, New York State special education regulations, and the range of services and supports available to students with disabilities in both public and nonpublic schools. I have written over IEPs for over 250 different students, and been a part of hundrends of CSE meetings. My goal is to help families understand their options and participate confidently in educational decision-making while maintaining productive partnerships with their child's educational team.

$150 per hour
(30 minute / $75 minimum)

Answering any questions and offering suggestions
Explaining IEP language
Discussing concerns and next steps
I do not communicate with your child's school on your behalf, but my goal is to help families clearly express their concerns, priorities, and questions while maintaining productive partnerships with their child's educational team. With that in mind, I can offer guidance in preparing emails, organizing questions, and communicating effectively with school personnel including:
Review and feedback on emails
Assistance drafting correspondence
Guidance on communicating concerns and questions
Suggestions for productive collaboration strategies

Parent/Guardian sends me:

Evaluations, reports, email correspondence or other documents

I will:
Review documents beforehand
Meet virtually for 60 minutes to respond to the list of questions/concerns you provided me beforehand and give my thoughts and recommendations including additional questions to consider and ways to continue to help you build a collaborative partnership with your child's school.
Meetings beyond 60 minutes will be charged the additional time beyond the first 60 minutes at the same rate as other support sessions: $150 per hour (30 minute / $75 minimum)
